Privacy Policy
What we collect when you use this site or ask about early access, why we hold it, and how to get it back or have it deleted.
1Who we are
Contravo AI Ltd (“Contravo”, “we”) builds software that reads public sector contracts and tells the people who manage them what needs a decision. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 we are the data controller for the personal data described on this page.
You can reach us at hello@contravo.ai.
2What this page covers
This page covers personal data we collect through this website and through early access enquiries. It does not cover contract documents that a customer uploads to the Contravo product — for those we act as a data processor under a separate agreement with that organisation, and their own privacy notice applies.
3What we collect
We collect only what you give us, and a small amount of technical information needed to serve the site.
- Early access enquiries. Your email address, and your name and message if you choose to provide them.
- Correspondence. Anything you send us by email, and our replies.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type and page requested for each visit, as part of serving and securing the site.
We do not use advertising cookies, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not buy or sell personal data.
4Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies. If you use the early access card, your name and email are saved in your own browser’s local storage so the form is already filled in next time. That data stays on your device, is never sent to us except when you submit the form, and clearing your browser data removes it.
5Why we use it, and on what basis
- To reply to your enquiry and to talk to you about early access. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted us and expect a reply.
- To run and secure the website. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in keeping the service available and free of abuse.
- To meet legal obligations, where we have to keep records.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal effects for you.
6Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the suppliers who help us run the service, and only as far as they need it:
- our website host and our email provider, who process data on our instructions;
- professional advisers, where we are required to take advice;
- a public authority, where the law requires us to disclose.
Where a supplier processes data outside the UK, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
7How long we keep it
Enquiries and correspondence are kept for two years from our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we need them for a legal reason. Technical logs are kept for up to 30 days.
8How we protect it
Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it. Data is encrypted in transit. We review who has access when someone joins or leaves.
9Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You can also ask us to send it to another organisation.
Email hello@contravo.ai and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
10Changes to this page
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date above. Where the change is significant we will tell anyone who has contacted us directly.
Questions about this page go to hello@contravo.ai. We reply within five working days.
